Following up on the much-enjoyed previous vintages of the Dreyer Sonoma Chardonnay, comes once again a value priced Sonoma County Chardonnay from the Dreyer Family. This 2016 release is comprised primarily from grapes grown in the Carneros Appellation. This wine was primarily barrel fermented and aged for 8 months in oak prior to bottling. Golden in color, the grapes were picked with perfect ripeness and natural acidity. With lovely pear and pineapple aromas, this wine shows great balance between its Sonoma County ripe fruit nose combined with its elegant oak influence resulting in a rich and lovely wine. This wine is versatile as an aperitif or paired with light meats such as chicken, pork, or fish dishes, and truly over-delivers for its price.
